There is a massive revolution happening. Women are choosing to remember and reclaim the wisdom of their bodies. Why? Because there have been too many emotional and physical challenges stemming from a deep disconnect. Women are wanting more and better.
And because of the Nature of the Feminine to look within when making changes, we are realizing the deep power of the Moon in our transformation. The Moon is the ultimate symbol of the Divine Feminine, whose wisdom, light and teachings are reemerging now through our own consciousness after a long dark slumber. She reflects to us our own inner rhythms and light/dark. This then can become the avenue for understanding ourselves from a whole new and empowering perspective. She asks us to reconnect with our own Cycles of the Moon within….The tides that throughout the month influence our energy, creativity, sexuality, intuition, connections, ability to conceive a baby, and bleed.
Why is it so important to live in alignment with your Moon Cycle?
This is such an important question.
If you feel fatigued, irritated, overwhelmed, and/or struggling with chronic or acute feminine health issues, this is a red flag from your body letting you know that there is an imbalance. These everyday “normal” symptoms are generally a sign that you have pushed past your body’s natural resources.
Rather than seeing it as an act of defiance or annoyance, perhaps it might be helpful to reframe this as your call back to the Feminine.
Since the early 1900’s, International Women’s Day has been observed. As with any great movement, it always begins and continues with grassroots efforts to make changes that will benefit a certain group that doesn’t always have the voice or power.
This year, the theme for International Women’s Day is “Pledge for Parity”. The World Economic Forum predicted in 2014 that it would take until 2095 to achieve global gender parity. Parity is the state or condition of being equal, especially regarding status or pay. So, what is being asked of us today, and truly all days, is to take some action steps to help women and girls achieve “…their ambitions, call for gender-balanced leadership, respect and value difference, develop more inclusive and flexible cultures or root out workplace bias.”
Honestly, I feel at this point, that those of us living in developed countries MUST stand up and be leaders in this conversation. There are many women who are impoverished, who do not have the safety to speak, who are being chronically victimized…. who don’t even have the option to get a job. We must be courageous and inspired to reach out and support our sisters in our local or global communities.
I ask you to make a pledge of helping out a sister in need today, this week, or this month to really be a catalyst in changing the current paradigms for women and girls.
Tomorrow is the Full Moon in Leo. Our first Full Moon of 2016!
Native Americans called this Moon the Wolf Moon.
Whichever way you look at it, the Moon is about engaging in our Wild. Engaging in our outward fiery Natures.
The Full Moon ILLUMINATES. And this Moon, with the fiery sign of Leo, can invite us to get reacquainted with parts of ourselves we have been ignoring. This is a potent time for us to zero in on our Truth so that we can stand with conviction and courage and stand in our self sovereignty.
Now, this is an interesting journey for us as women.
I know for myself that there have been many times throughout my life where I have pushed aside my fiery Nature to “fit in.”
I know that we are already in the second week of 2016 but I want to take a moment to wish you a most spectacular New Year.
The New Year always gives the feeling that we are starting over. We have a clean slate from which to create our Masterpieces. Do you feel that?
What I have been feeling as we cross the realms from 2015 to 2016 is a sense of wearing new skin. It is challenging to put into words but I feel an internal shift and I am getting used to these new “clothes”.
Part of this is that I am in my last 5 weeks of pregnancy and embodying more of Mother and part of this is due to the awakening that is happening on this planet. I am finding that I am still catching up to this New energy of a New Year. I need more time to integrate and assimilate what is present for me, emotionally and spiritually. I feel slower. And I can feel a settling coming. It is almost here. And then I can sit in peace, create, BE, and stand in my own beauty and contribution in the world.
I am not sure how you are feeling. Maybe the same. Maybe you are off with full speed ahead. No matter what, I so look forward to hearing and seeing what manifests for you over the next year.
And just to remind you, if you don’t know what you desire yet for this year or what that desire looks like, Your Soul knows. It is more about you asking your mind to step away from the steering wheel and let those whisperings be heard.
Your Soul has been waiting for the invitation and the space in your life. And it is time, sister. Time for you to walk the path that the Goddess has gifted you.
This might mean offering your gifts out into the world on a bigger platform, it may mean finally having the courage to open to LOVE, it might mean disciplining yourself to get healthy and eat well, it might mean finally getting to Bali after years of pining over photographs of this island.
Whatever the calling is, it is YOURS. It is not what your partner, mother, sister, brother, boss, friend, or child deems is yours.
You have so much beauty within that is waiting to burst forward, perhaps for the first time or perhaps in a more dynamic way than ever before. And I am honored to support you as you come into a more honest reflection of your visions and ultimately your path.
With all of this being said and knowing you are exactly where you are meant to be in this journey of life, I would love to share with you my 2016 Offerings and Calendar.
If you are clear of your visions and what you want to experience this year, you will be delighted to know that you can plan and budget and actually be in active co-creation with your heart’s songs.
And if you are in the “getting used to the new clothes/skin feeling” and are still settling into your desires for this year, you can read through and perhaps plant little seeds that will grow and bring clarity.
Today, in the Northern Hemisphere, we celebrate Winter Solstice. This is a time of turning inward, into the darkness, the Great Mystery and all that is unknown. In a way, it seems a very symbolic time of the Feminine. A time when we access our intuition, tune into what we desire to receive (in all forms)… an experience of listening to our inner wise woman.
Because it is so close to the end of the year, you may find yourself reflecting on this past year and what you would like to Womanifest in 2016. You might find that you are seeking more quiet, more meditative space, more ways to bring forth any tenderness that is in your heart. Whatever is present for you is absolutely where you can put your energy.
It is always important on the path of self-discovery to create space for the inward journey. After all, this is our work as Empowered Women Remembering the Ways of the Feminine™. To delve into our shadows so that we may then shine our light. This is quite the gift we are given today.
And for our sisters in the Southern Hemisphere, you are moving into the joy of Summer and the invitation to now broadcast your light out into the world with pleasure and connectivity. You have had the dark months of winter to percolate, to shed skin, and to heal any ruptures. So, enjoy the unleashing of your LIGHT.
It’s been quite a few intense weeks, wouldn’t you say?
Between celebrating the holidays in the West and hearing of the atrocities happening around the world, it may be that you are feeling a bit more tender or checked out or merely heartbroken.
I know for myself that when I hear of the terrorism and the devastation, the violence and the heartache, my heart either cries out in pain or begins to close the armor around it to protect it from actually feeling the immense sorrow of our brothers and sisters on this planet.
Since tomorrow is the New Moon in Sagittarius, we can use her medicine to support us during these intense times.
Sagittarius New Moon invites us to explore ourselves because when she is present, there can often be a restlessness that we feel. So, she asks us first to root into Mother Earth for stability and then to journey into our joy, our ruptures, our freedom, our desires. She is constantly inviting us to learn and move so that we never feel trapped or confined.
Her biggest lesson for us is freedom. Freedom that can be obtained within ourselves, our relationships, our bodies, and our spiritual journeys. And this is so potent at this time because so many of our sisters around the world do not have this external privilege. They are literally being suppressed in ways that we can not fathom so their freedoms are not even present.
